Themed Baby Bedding

If the baby's nursery is themed, you can match the style of the room with the baby bedding. A great baby girl gift could be a fairytale or butterfly themed crib set that matches the wall color and décor. Unisex Baby Bedding

If you don't know the sex of the baby, or are buying baby bedding for a room with a unisex theme, there are many choices for crib sets that will make a unique baby gift. Crib Bumpers

Crib bumpers can be a good idea to line the crib bars and protect the baby against injury. However, it's extremely important that you ensure the crib bumper you are buying is safe. Some SIDS groups say that crib bumpers may contribute to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Unless you know that the crib bumper is breathable and safety approved, don't buy it.

Mix and Match Baby Bedding

You don't need to purchase a baby bedding set that comes complete with sheets, a comforter and crib bumper. It can look more stylish and unique to mix and match pieces of different colors and designs. A plain white fitted sheet could be matched with a patterned or colored top sheet or comforter. A few complementary colors can really brighten the nursery - a mix of soft pink and purple sheets and blankets, or pale yellow and green will add a sense of calm to the baby's room.

Baby bedding is a practical gift, but it also lets you be creative in your gift giving and find something that brings color and life to any nursery.
